ADOK Support Group Meeting
We invite you this June 2018 to Karura Forest for the first Alzheimer’s walk. Alzheimer’s is one of the least understood mental diseases in Kenya with common symptoms such as memory loss, confusion, behaviour change etc affecting many in our community and mostly going undiagnosed. We hope to start changing this narrative by taking the first steps to start the conversation.
I know that walking in the forest is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and walk unless I am medically able to walk and agree to abide by any decision of an official relative to my ability to safely complete the walk. I assume all risks associated with walking in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather and the conditions of the walking path, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.

Members of the support group invite ADOK to come and talk about Dementia in their homes where they invite relatives and friends plus the members of the community
